The PLAYFUL PELICAN is located in Fort Morgan which is one of the quieter areas of the Alabama Gulf Coast, and one of the few areas where dogs are welcome. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is located on a dead-end street and it’s only a two-minute stroll to the sugar white beaches. There are no roads to cross and no traffic to negotiate. Unlike Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan is known for its serene beauty and there are fewer people on the beach even during the peak summer season. Why spend your vacation in a busy tourist trap when the Fort Morgan beaches offer a chance for real peace and relaxation? Come make your next memories at the PLAYFUL PELICAN. • Professionally cleaned, sanitized, and inspected by our five-star cleaning team before your arrival
• Complimentary welcome kit with essential items such as toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap), and other thoughtful conveniences to ensure a comfortable start to your stay
• To help you enjoy your stay, we supply eight beach towels for your use during your stay
SURROUNDING AREA
• The PLAYFUL PELICAN is located on the Fort Morgan peninsula, just twenty minutes from Gulf Shores, and less than five minutes from the Mobile Bay Car Ferry, which offers year-round service across the bay to Dauphin Island and Mobile, Alabama
• Grocery stores and restaurants are just down the road
• You may want to add a visit to Fort Morgan Historic State Park, adjacent to the ferry launch, approximately two miles away.
• The Gulf Shores Yacht Club and Marina is less than a mile away where you can rent boats or charter fishing trips. Speckled trout, white trout, redfish, flounder, sheepshead, tripletail, bluefish, red snapper, pompano and king mackerel are common in the Gulf Shores area.
• The sea, the sand, and the sun are the perfect recipe for an Alabama Gulf Coast lifestyle.

Escaping the everyday at Fort Morgan offers nature and serenity and breathtaking sunsets at dusk from either the surf or the bay. Stroll along the beach and enjoy the sugar white sand, salty air, and nature’s serenity. If you are at the point of the peninsula at dusk, you will be presented with some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see.
