Description
Clarksburg State Park Campground is a beautiful place to view fall foliage with 368 acres of unspoiled northern hardwood forest and breathtaking views of the Hoosac Range, Mount Greylock and the Green Mountains. Mauserts Pond has a landscaped day-use area featuring picnicking, and a pavilion area. The pond is surrounded by 9.5 miles of foot trails along which visitors may observe a variety of wildlife, and perhaps a moose. The 3 mile Pond Loop Trail is popular with birdwatchers, and the very easy Shoreline Trail has beautiful water views. The campground has 45 wooded campsites near the lake, as well as a modern comfort station with showers.
