With its 1 125 rooms Estrel Hotel has its own train station and boat landing and is just three miles from Potsdamer Platz, Museumsinsel, and Alexanderplatz. The size of the hotel and the direct access to the convention and entertainment areas of the complex ensure easy logistics for event organizers. The hotel's 2 800-square-meter atrium functions as a meeting place and communication hub. On entering the glass-covered atrium (with its ceramic-tiled fountain created by French artist Gilbert Portanier), trees, restaurants, and bars open onto the central area. The hotel houses a fitness center, mini-market, Atrium Bar, Crystal Bar, an underground garage with 450 parking spaces, 24-hour security service, and five restaurants offering Italian, Asian, rustic Berlin, and international cuisine. The beer garden at the front of the hotel, on the banks of the Neuklln Ship Canal, caters to all tastes. An experience of a very special kind is provided by the hotel's own train station, which enables groups of guests to board charter trains to and from all German cities. The hotel has its own landing stage in the Estrel beer garden in front of the hotel, from which the hotel offers regular city tours and boat trips into the surrounding countryside along the Spree. The Estrel Festival Center is linked directly via a glazed bridge to the hotel and convention center. Every day it plays host to the live entertainment with an ever-altering selection of stars. Each of the hotel's 1 125 rooms is air-conditioned and features satellite television with pay movies, hairdryer, minibar, and PC connection.
