Description
A labyrinth of charming cobbled streets suddenly gives way to a glorious medieval square. Here you will find the astonishing Saint Anastasia church and the celebrated Due Torri Hotel, easily the finest hotel in Verona. Stylish and refined the hotel justly enjoys an international reputation on account of the quality of its service and the beauty of its door. Due Torri Hotel acts as home to many of the world*s famous singers during the annual lyric opera festival in the city. A veritable treasure trove of history and elegance this splendid hotel is filled with 17th and 18th century antiques. From the stunning lobby once an open courtyard to the fine medieval murals the hotel oozes great style and character. The hotel's outstanding character is seen in the 90 beautiful rooms and suites, all richly decorated with fabric-covered walls, silk brocades and fine antiques. Each room has a spectacular, rose-coloured marble bathroom with lavish gold fittings. Many of the rooms enjoy views over the lovely Piazza and the church. Quite probably one of Europe's most beautiful and historic cities there are many opportunities for sightseeing in Verona. The arena almost perfectly preserved is the third largest roman amphitheatre and is host to the annual lyric opera festival each summer. The Piazza Delle Erbe has an open-air market every day, while a few steps away the Romeo and Juliet balcony is a sight, which should not be missed. Enjoy some of the finest cuisine that Italy has to offer in the all Aquila restaurant with its regional specialties. The bar with beautiful murals overlooks the original 13th century courtyard lobby. For meetings and events the hotel can accommodate up to 140 in its conference center, and 6 well-equipped meeting rooms offer an exclusive and modern frame.
