Welcome to family Stünkel in Altenhagen 2 km from the Steinhuder Meer.
We offer you a comfortable apartment only 2 km from the center and close to the sea and the promenade.

The Steinhuder Meer is the largest lake in Lower Saxony. It is ideal for cyclists, hikers or water sports (sailing, surfing, kitesurfing). But also for those who just want to relax and enjoy nature. Boat rentals for sailing, electric, pedal or rowing boats are available on site.
A holiday in a holiday apartment on the Steinhuder Meer is a pleasure for young and old, for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. The Steinhuder Meer lies approx. 30 km west of Hanover and is with 32 square kilometers the largest lake of Lower Saxony, in the heart of the eponymous nature park with 310 square kilometers. The most important resorts on the Steinhuder Meer are Mardorf, Steinhude, Hagenburg and Rehburg-Loccum. The landscape is diverse with dunes, bogs, heathland, wet meadows, deciduous and coniferous forests and reed zones. Leisure activities around the apartment on Steinhuder sea
The Steinhuder Meer offers numerous leisure activities on land and on land. Water sports fans will get their money's worth on boating, sailing, kite surfing and windsurfing here. Boat rental stations as well as sailing and windsurfing schools around the Steinhuder Meer offer first-class equipment and qualified instruction. Especially for kitesurfing the Steinhuder Meer has become a popular center. During the season more than 90 sailing regattas take place on the Steinhuder Meer. The Steinhuder Meer is also known for the so-called "emigrants" - more than 100 years old sailing boats, which only exist here. Swimming and swimming in the lake is allowed free and makes in healthy bog water extra fun. Center is located in the south near Steinhude, artificial, 35,000 square meters large island in the beach with a sandy beach and lawns. On the north shore in Mardorf lures the guarded beach "white dune". Nearby is also the surf beach. Cyclists can cycle around the Steinhuder Meer on 32 km, partly along the water, partly through idyllic nature. And if you are still bored in your apartment on the Steinhuder Meer, have fun in the high ropes climbing garden in Mardorf, playing tennis, horse riding, mini golf, fishing or in the numerous indoor and outdoor pools in the region. In bad weather, of course, offers a trip to the city of Hanover, which is just a stone's throw away.

Your apartment on the Steinhuder Meer can be reached most easily by car via the A2, A7 and B6, B441, B442, B482, B215 and B214. By train you can travel from Hannover Hbf by regional express or by S-Bahn in about 20 minutes to Wunstorf or Neustadt am Rübenberge and from there by bus 710/711 or 715 to Steinhude. In summer there is an hourly cycle bus service (line 835) from Wunstorf to Mardorf, Steinhude or Hagenburg.
