Awesome spot for great food and plane-watching
57th Fighter Group RestaurantI ate here on their patio with a great view of planes arriving and departing at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (KPDK). The restaurant is directly adjacent to the airport, so you feel like part of the action. The patio has several tables set aside for people with dogs. I was the only one with a dog that day, but we met a LOT of dog lovers. The staff was very welcoming, with some of them stopping by just to meet my dog. I had a delicious bacon cheeseburger, but they have a great selection of food from sandwiches to steaks. We will definitely be going back!
On The 3rd Floor Of A Paddlewheel Steamer
3rd Deck Burger BarWe loved the setting of this restaurant on 3rd floor of an old paddlewheel steamer, overlooking the Tennessee River. You actually have to go through the ship to take an elevator to the restaurant.) Easy walking distance to the Tennessee Aquarium, baseball stadium, and the rest of downtown Chattanooga. Basic pub food (burgers, buffalo wings, etc). Excellent, friendly service. (Thanks, Jennifer!) We would definitely come back!
VERY Dog Friendly In A Great Location
Aloft Greenville DowntownThis hotel obviously values their canine customers! Our room had pictures of dogs on the wall (a nice touch) and they have a rooftop patio with an enclosed dog run for peeing and pooping. Only downside is that their waste bag dispenser was empty, but we had our own. The patio also has a fire pit, but unfortunately it wasn’t working when we were there. In spite of the mist, we were able to see the Smoky Mountains in the distance from the patio.
The hotel is only 3 blocks from the Reedy River, which is a GREAT place for taking your dog for a long scenic walk. The hotel is also close to a bunch of dog-friendly restaurants (see my review of the Passerelle Bistro). We would definitely stay here again.
Table With A View
Passerelle BistroWe were here on New Year’s Eve and had a fabulous experience! The food was delicious and the service was superb. The servers were very dog friendly. We had a table on the patio with an awesome view of the waterfalls of the Reedy River. The restaurant is adjacent to the parks and trails that run along the river, and convenient to the shops of downtown Greenville. Excellent experience all around!
Spacious room, kitchenette, very dog friendly
Home2 Suites by Hilton LafayetteWe spent a weekend here with our 2 large dogs, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were all extremely welconing to us and our dogs. The room had a sitting area, which gave our dogs some extra room to spread out. There was a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator/freezer, a microwave oven, a toaster, and even a dishwasher. The location is convenient to Purdue University. We would certainly stay here again.
Delicious steaks in a traditional Victorian setting
Carriage & Horses RestaurantWe took our two dogs for dinner and had a fabulous time. The staff was incredibly welcoming to us and our dogs, and our steaks were delicious. Prices were very reasonable, too. Our only regret was going so late that it was too dark to see the farm after dinner. We would definitely return.
Great burgers and beer
The Brick Store PubThe Brick Store has a great selection of international beers to go along with their supply of typical (but well executed) pub food. There isn't a full patio, but there are a few sidewalk tables in front of the restaurant where our dogs enjoy people- (and dog-) watching. The staff is always very friendly toward our canine companions. Decatur is a nice little town for walking your dogs after dinner, too.
Tasty, spicy food
Taqueria El VecinoDelicious food. I hadvthe beef tenderloin, and my wife had the shrimp tacos, and we both thought they were terrific. They staff was extremely welcoming to our two large dogs. We will definitely be back!
Second stay at the Holiday Inn Resort
Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island an IHG HotelWe just finished our second stay here with our 2 large dogs. Everybody was very welcoming, from the front desk to housekeeping. The on-site restaurant allows dogs on their covered porch, and there are 2 restaurants (Tortuga Lacks and Red Bug Motors Pizza) within 1 mile that allow large dogs on their patio. The hotel is right on the beach, and there is a nice pool (but dogs aren't allowed there). We will definitely come back!
Great patio by the lake
Pig TalesMy wife and I ate here with my cousin and his wife who were visiting from North Carolina. It was Saturday night, so there was about an hour wait for a table for four, but they have an app that lets you keep track of your place in line. That allowed us to walk down by the lake without missing our turn. The staff was extremely friendly to our two dogs, and there were other dogs there as well. The food was a little pricey, but it was delicious, and you are also paying for the ambience. They have live music on the weekends, and the singer was very good. They have a nice bar in the center of the patio, if you just want to get drinks. We will definitely go back!
Great food, great service
Aubrey'sThe service was excellent, and they were very welcoming to our dogs on the patio. The feel of the restaurant was upscale casual, and the food was delicious. I only wish they had some propane heaters for the patio, but otherwise it was terrific!
Huge patio, rigjt next to Piedmont Park
Park TavernWe took our two larhe dogs here after a very pleasant walk around the huge Piedmont Park. We were afraid there might be a wait to get in, but there were several tables available on the very large patio. The waiter didn't bring water for our dogs, but there were bowls and water dispensers so we could get our own. The food was very good and reasonably priced for a nice restaurant. We will definitely bring our dogs again!
Very dog friendly
Meehan's Public HouseDogs are welcome on the patio here, and the staff is VERY dog friendly. They were happy to meet our dogs, and they brought not just water but also cups of ice for both of our dogs. (It was a hot day.) The patio is very nice with a roof a stone walls, and the food is delicious upscale pub food. We will definitely go back.
Great pizza, large patio and covered porch
Red Bug Motors PizzaWe called ahead to see if we could bring our dogs, and they said dogs were welcome on the patio. BY the time we got there it was raining, so we decided to do takeout instead (they have a separate takeout on the patio). We had a Hawaiian pizza, which was very good. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Resort, and the restaurant was about a mile from the hotel. We would definitely go back, but hopefully next time the weather will be good enough to sit with our dogs!
Very welcoming!
Hofer's Bakery Restaurant & CafeWe were here right before Christmas with our 2 dogs. We tried a couple of other restaurants that were reviewed here, but they were closed at the time. The employees here were very welcoming. We sat on the patio, and they brought our dogs a bucket of water. The schnitzel and potato pancakes were tasty, and the service was quite good. Another reviewer complained about the service, but I think they didn't understand that you need to go inside to get a menu and order. After that, the servers bring your food to your table. The restaurant should explain that better to new arrivals. I also wish that restaurants with patios would invest in patio heaters. That would make them more enjoyable year-round.
