Great location
La Quinta by Wyndham South BurlingtonThis hotel is <2 miles from downtown Burlington. Very nice sidewalk to walk along and shops and restaurants around.
Great place
Kentucky Horse ParkI didn't bring my dog bc I didn't know it was dog friendly. While visiting, I saw tons of dogs there. It was a really nice park. I loved being able to pet the horses.
Very large
Masterson Station Dog ParkThis dog park is huge. Lots of area for the dogs to run around in. Lots of tree for shade and benches. We met some really nice dog parents too.
Would not stay again
La Quinta Inn Lexington/Horse ParkThe hotel location is great. Near a gas station, highway, and Cracker Barrel.
This is the worst La Quinta I have ever stayed in. The hotel needs major rennovations. The front desk staff was the best part of the hotel. I feel like this used to be a hotel for chain smokers for decades. The carpets need to be changed. The whole bathroom smelled like an ashtray. I sank into the middle of the King sized bed. When I arrived, there was already food in my fridge. The linen was old. The recliner was ancient.
Only stay here if this is your last option.
Great dog hike
Chimney Rock State ParkMy dogs were welcomed into the park with a treat at the entrance. Dogs are permitted everywhere except the elevator and restaurant. The hike to the top was difficult for me but my dogs had no trouble 😂. Great views and cardio. It was a little expensive $17 to enter but well worth it
Nice park
Dog Park at Azalea ParkThis park has a large area for the dogs to run. It is quite muddy. There are also no obstacles or ramps. Overall my dogs enjoyed it
Great dog park
French Broad River Dog ParkThis was a great dog park to visit. There always seemed to be many friendly dogs to play. It was located on a river and there was also a nice path to walk on.
Great stay
Red Roof Inn Asheville - Biltmore WestI was hesitant to stay here bc it seemed so cheap. It is a no frills motels. It seems like a lot of construction workers use this motel. My 2 dogs and I had a great stay here. It is close to a dog park as well. The A/C unit made a lot of noise but that was ok bc it drowned out my dog barking. I just wish other owners picked up after their dogs. There was tons of dog poop in the patio area. There was a Cracker Barrel, gas station, and Burger King close by as well.
Not dog friendly
Great Smoky Mountains National ParkThere is only 1 trail that allows dogs. You are better off visiting the state parks.
Great location
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Pigeon Forge DollywoodThis hotel is located near Dollywood and close to Gatlinburg and the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. It is located a little off the main road There are several resturants to walk to. There is a nice sidewalk as well. The restaurants are not dog friendly though.
There is a very small pool too.
There is no sound barrier between the rooms. I could hear the entire conversation in the room next door. I could also hear anyone who walked down the hallway.
