Nice, but potentially dangerous
La Quinta by Wyndham DalhartRoom was fine; check-in was friendly. The well-lit outdoor dog area had leftover construction materials, a hole in a fence leading to a railyard and countless turds. We were grateful for the rest but wouldn’t recommend this to friends. We hope to see it improve in the future.
Comfy and quiet
Home2 Suites by Hilton Leavenworth DowntownI’d give it 6 bones if I could. Classy joint with a nice, green, big, outdoor dog space. Everything in the room worked great and even in our ground floor room near the back entrance, there wasn’t any hall noise to rouse our pups to bark. We’d love to return!
Lovely view, handy room
La Quinta by Wyndham TrinidadWe had a good night here: Friendly staff, very clean ground floor room right near the dog walk area door. Lots of people traffic outside our door, which rattled our dogs a bit, but we’re still working on hotel skills with them. Highly recommend this hotel!
Friendly, speedy
La Quinta by Wyndham KearneyOur first hotel with 2 dogs. Hotel lives up to its 5-bone rating, though the note was very busy (full) and our room seemed to get a lot of hallway and outside foot traffic noise and slamming doors that our newest (and older) dog struggled to ignore. I was surprised they put us in a 2nd floor room right next to the stairwell. Will try and avoid that in the future.
The view!
Trinidad Lake State Park CampgroundMy favorite camp night of 2021 so far: lovely view of the lake and hills. spacious site, easy access to pit toilet and space to walk the dog safely. Site was mostly clean: had a few bottle caps and the last visitor’s single dog doo deposit. Friendly RVer’s surrounded our site.
Friendly and easy
SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western PriceExtremely courteous front desk help! Spacious room, easy to find from the highway, quiet room, easy access from a back door, plenty of space for poodle walk, piddle and poo.
Spacious but noisy for tenters
Mormon Island SRA CampgroundWe booked online, ahead and unwittingly booked an RV site in a very busy RV area with people driving and walking around a fair amount, after hours. This, in addition to a welcome but loud breeze and also the nearby interstate sounds made for a restless night for us and our poodle puppy. As we left we saw the tent campground was empty: I should have inquired about it when checking in! Otherwise, a nice lakeside campground!
