It’s been years since I was here. Parking is now free. This was our first dog beach. Had a blast. Almost all the dogs were off leash. The walk from the parking lot to the beach was long than I expect. It was all shaded however. Rita’s ice truck was in the parking lot. Didn’t see any restrooms on the dog side of the beach. Had to go over to the non-dog beach.
Drove an hour here so I could swim with my two dogs. There was a little bit of seaweed but it wasn’t horrible like previous reviews stated. Wasn’t overly crowded and everyone who had a dog on the beach was very friendly! Only downside was there was no where to spray the sand off your dog after you left the beach and people were smoking on the beach also. Still a nice location and will come back in the future.
