Frank Jackson State Park

Frank Jackson State Park is a dog-friendly, 2,050-acre park located near Opp, AL. This large park is a hot spot for anglers thanks to its main attraction, the 1,000-acre Lake Jackson. In addition to outstanding fishing, the park also features picnic areas, lakefront RV camping with cable TV hookups, a modern bathhouse, a boardwalk leading to an island in the lake, and more than three miles of walking trails. Dogs are welcome in most areas of the park as long as they are leashed. Bike and horseback riding trails may not allow dogs for safety reasons. Dogs are not allowed in stores, food service areas, bathhouse, pool or swimming areas. Dogs can not be left unattended and will be confiscated if left in a hot car. Visit Website

    Awesome stopping place!

    My shihpoo enjoyed the break on our trip! great bathroom spot for human and animal

    Great park. Good walking trails.

    The park has a lake with two walking bridges that connect to the island in the middle of the lake.
    While there, we saw a baby Armadillo. Out Boston was very interested.
