Miramar Beach

Miramar Beach allows local residents with dog-on-beach permits to walk their leashed dogs on the beach between 3:30 PM and 8:30 AM. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Walton County property owners or permanent residents must obtain a permit from the county clerk each year to walk dogs on the beach. Unfortunately, tourists and visitors aren't permitted to walk dogs on the beach. Visit Website

BringFido Guest Rating

Miramar Beach is rated 1.4 bones out of 5 by 7 canine critics on BringFido.

Visitors to Miramar Beach are overwhelmingly disappointed by strict pet restrictions that prohibit most dog owners from accessing the beach, with only one reviewer reporting a positive experience where dogs were welcomed without issue. Some visitors noted that while the area offers good walking paths and dog parks, the beach itself remains largely off-limits to tourists with pets, making it an unwelcoming destination for dog-friendly travelers.
