    Beautiful; lots of shade paths

This was a great find! The facility is free, but parking is $5. But it's well worth it. Lovely well-maintained grounds with lots of shade for you and your dog to beat the heat (as much as you an in Texas). We went in April, so I'm not sure what the bug situation is during the summer, but there are lots of water areas and woods, so probably should bring repellant. Some wildlife: frogs, turtles, and water snakes. A couple of lovely ponds with and wooden boardwalks. Great place for families and dogs.

    Great for a stroll

Awesome spot to take the pup out for a walk. Numerous trails with plenty of shade and benches to take a breather; be sure to bring water though. Also, parking is free on Thursdays.

    Great for Walks!

The arboretum was the perfect length walk, not too long but not too short! The trails are mostly shady so sunscreen is not a must, but I would recommend a good but spray! There is some poison ivy in certain areas of the trail so be careful to make sure your furry friend stays on the path! Parking was conveniently located for $5.00. Don’t forget to bring water for yourself and your pup! Additionally if you’ve got a new puppy you’re looking to socialize this is a great trail, there were lots of people of varying ages to expose your dog to!

    Nice place for casual walk

Located in Memorial Park it is very similar to the other trails. Nice trees and ponds. No flowers. A LOT of mosquitoes so bring repellent or long sleeves.

    Females, don't go alone!

This place is AMAZING and my dog loves it, but if you are a female I would not advise coming here alone. These trails are extremely isolated and a perfect place for creeps. If you have a protective dog or buddy to join you, it's dog heaven!
