Harry A. Merlo State Recreation Area

Harry A. Merlo State Recreation Area is a popular dog-friendly fishing spot located 32 miles north of Eureka along the shores of Big Lagoon in Trinidad, CA. The park is a great place for enjoying a picnic by the water and viewing wildlife, including herds of Roosevelt Elk. The more intrepid canine explorers out there may want to try their paw at some metal detecting or geocaching.
