Picacho State Recreation Area

Picacho State Recreation Area in Winterhaven, CA, formerly the home to a gold mining town with a population of 100, is now a pet-friendly state recreation area. The park is home to diverse scenery and wildlife, including lots of types of plant, shrubs, bighorn sheep, and thousands of migratory waterfowl. Fido can join you as long as he is on a leash no longer than six feet. Dogs are allowed in developed areas such as roads and campgrounds. Dogs aren't permitted on beaches or trails. Visit Website
