Located among Illinois' largest collection of lakes, the park borders Grass, Marie, and Nippersink. Also joined up to the Fox River, this waterway connects the other seven lakes: Bluff, Fox, Pistakee, Channel, Petite, Catherine, and Redhead in the chain. There are four trail systems for you and Fido to use, including the Nature's Way hiking trail at just over two miles in length; The Pike Marsh North Picnic Area with a shorter, quarter-mile trail; and three other looped trails that vary in length.
