Memorial Park
Dog-friendly Memorial Park, located in Columbia, SC, is dedicated to the memory of those who have fought and died in service to their country. With winding paths, benches and flowering bushes, this seven-acre park has become a popular place to spend an afternoon. The Vietnam Memorial Monument features two freestanding granite walls inscribed with the names of South Carolinians killed or lost in action in Vietnam. There is also a War Dog Memorial dedicated to the handlers and dogs who served in Vietnam and other wars. Leashed dogs are welcome.
