When you have created a dangerous, tiny dogpark in very close proximity to a high crime area it would be extremely useful to give users a way to see who is at the park before they drive over there, as they have done at the PETA dogpark
in Norfolk, VA. But the chances of that happening in Camden County NJ are very close to ZERO. - AmyMore than a year agoNever again !
My last review may have been too lengthy and cut off but bottom line is the owners as well as dogs are not friendly and for the location it isnt worth it. Dont waste your time

This park is well maintained with a water source for the dogs. It has a small dog area separate from the large dogs. The park has benches, shade, grass and stone area. It is a great amount of space for dogs to get a good run in. We love coming here!!!
- Its a shameMore than a year agoits a shame
I agree with Bad comments its a shame that it has to be like that , I agree because taking my pet to the park has done more bad than good. My pet behavior has change and she has become more aggressive she was not like that until another dogs kept bother her know this is the consequence. I will never ever take her there again

This is a great dog park and well off the beaten track. There are two parks - one for small dogs and large dogs. The large dog part has stones and grass and is pretty spacious. There is a water source and a bag container. There are also benches in the shade.
- KathyMore than a year agoThank You for the info
Thank you Eric, Joe, Laura and Smiley.. I drove past it the other day and didn't see any dogs or even got out of the car.. Looked small.. Bad area.. I remember when Gatsby's was over that way, lots of seedy characters were lingering on that end of the park.. Only thing I did see good was that they had water... IDK if it works.. but why wud they put it on the outside of the dog runs ? smh.. I willl not be bringing my pups to this one !! Thank you !!

I wish this site had a "Zero Bones" selection because that's what this dog of a park would get! Now that you're curious, don't even waste your time to drive over there to see what I'm talking about. Seriously. Don't. But if you do, take a can of mace.
I heard about this dog park at work yesterday so after work I drove down past it to see where it was located. There were only two dogs in the pen when I passed by; two pitbulls and their thug owners. I don't have anything against pitbulls but put a pitbull with a thug and I want no part of it, especially after my coworker just got done telling me that her friends' dog got bit by a pitbull at this park and I verified it per another review on Google. Am I judging a book by it's cover? Yep! And I'm okay with that.
I went on a Friday afternoon (I'm home from work, "sick") at 2 o'clock. If you can get beyond the many serial killers/child molesters/seedy-old-trolls-looking-for-a -trick just to get to the fenced-in area, you've done better than I have. I wasn't sure if I was more pleased to find that the puppy area had a fence to keep my dog inside or happier that there was a fence to potentially delay the entry of one of the creeps lingering around in the parking lot that it might give me enough time to escape before being abducted and murdered and thrown in the Cooper River, never to be heard from again. Either way, I was not impressed for one hot second by this place.
Look closely at the photograph posted for the park with the German Shepard in the foreground. See where the grey stones end and that brownish color begins? Yeah, that's mud. Not grass. Mud. Who wants to take their dog to a park to play in the mud? I walked my dog three-quarters of the way down the concrete walkway and turned around and got back in my car. Sorry, puppy, no running at the park today.
What a terrible shame that the city would invest in putting up something to beneficial to the community and then let it slip into what it's apparently become. But, hey, if I'm ever in the mood for some afternoon delight with a disgusting old troll, I know where to go. Ugh...I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. I'm jus' sayin', is all...

.
This is the worst dog park that I have ever been to in my whole life. The park has two areas one for smaller dogs and one for large dogs. Yesterday my dog was bitten by a yellow lab that should never have been in the smaller dog area to begin with. Then was verbally assaulted and threatened by its owner James Washington and had to call the police. I am not sure what kind of case I have against him but I will not be going back to this dog park and do yourself and your pet a favor and find somewhere else to let them play.
- EricMore than a year agoReally small dog runs
I agree with previous reviewer. The dog run is just too small and probably not worth your time. They also mix the big and small dogs together which isn't a good idea.

this is a tiny fenced in park, too small for big dogs and they tend to get a little aggressive because of the lack of space. there are water fountains and of course you can walk your dog around cooper river park, leashed.
