brought my large and small dog here in winter where we don’t have to deal with the dirt pile it becomes any other season. saw a pit bull attack a new dog while the owner did not do anything to remove her dog. will never bring my dogs back.

I brought my dog here as we were in the neighborhood. There were a few dogs there who were all well behaved accompanied very nice owners. However the park itself was horrendous. My dogs paws were cut in the first 10 min from shattered glass everywhere. We left right after and will never bring her back here.

I've been bringing my dog to this run for years. It has gotten so neglected that it's a health hazard. Every time I bring my dog here he gets a serious bacterial infection on his paws. I've let it heal, bring him back to the park, and sure enough the infection is back every time. It's so bad now that pads on his paws are bleeding.
I don't understand how the NYC Parks Department can spend millions of dollars on maintaining the rest of the park - tennis courts, big apple circus, etc., yet can't put a cent into this dog run. There are hardly any wood chips, and the rest is mud, dog waste and garbage.
It's an unsanitary disgrace and should be contaminated.
You can see a photo of my dog's bloody paws in the photo section. - HectorMore than a year agoAlley Pond Park
Great hiking trail, long enough for 2 hours of walking with fido. Make sure you get a map and plenty of water before you start the trails, you can get lost.
