    Dogs loose

Gorgeous views and park but dogs that live there run loose off of leashes and wouldn't leave my dog alone whom is a rescue and nervous around strange dogs so it made it stressful

Pay once ,play for seven days !

We had a great time with our dogs at Firefox ! We came on our first day hiked up to the waterfall , they dogs loved splashing in the moving water , our blue heeler pup ran up and down the creek biting at bibles moving over the rocks . We loved it so much that we came back on our last day to tire the pups out so they would sleep on the way home ,we went on the lower trail and the dogs had a blast in the river bed . I have never seen dog smiles so big !

    Excellent for families with dogs

my kids loved the zip lines and exploring the trails. Dutch loved the many opportunities to play in the stream that almost circles the property. We were able to take him off leash for quite a bit as we didn’t see many people on the trails. most seem to come for zip lines and only go a short way onto the trails. if you decide to hike a ways with your furry friend then you will likely have the trail to yourself.

Only thing good was the pup was allowed to come.

Trails are run down and low maintained. The admission price for just access to the trail (maybe 2) is way overpriced. The welcome sign with the main logo on it half rotted off. Paid $50 for two adults plus a dog and got maybe 2 miles in plus three ticks for free. I would have gave this place 1 bone but the ziplining looked good so if that’s your cup of tea then it might be worthwhile. Hopefully the zip lines are maintained better than the rest of the place. No problems at all bringing the dog but bring your own water dish. Not worth the money for just hiking.

    Fun Morning

We spent about 3 hours hiking and playing in the water with our two dogs. They loved it! The River Walk Trail is very flat. The Waterfall Trail has a few steep parts, but even at 30 weeks pregnant in the summer it was doable with breaks. Great dog friendly trip!

    Only ones there

I guess we came during the off season, but we just left and we were the only ones there. That was fine by us because they have a bunch of swinging bridges that connect and our dog LOVED them. Since no one is else was there, my husband would get on one end of the bridges and I would get on the other end, and we would let Leia just run. She had a blast. That was her favorite part. She did that several times.
It rained hard last night and the day before, but for some reason, there was no waterfall where it was supposed to be. It was still a really neat area though.
If you’re like me and don’t exercise, just FYI, the hike is a little steep. I had to stop once or twice to catch my breath. haha.
We paid $25/per person entry fee. But it’s for an entire week. So if you’re going, go on your first day so if you decide to go back, it’s already paid for. It might sound kind of steep, but we had the place to ourselves and we’re on vacation so it was worth it to us.
The only negative about this place is once we got there, there were no signs showing where to go to pay for the hiking and such, so we were kind of lost. We also didn’t have cell phone signal. My husband had to drive around until he found someone to tell him where to go.

Great place to hike with your dog

We took our 1 year old Labrador to go hiking and had a great day. The trails are not overly strenuous and the river is easy to access. Remington had a blast playing in the water. Was nice that the trails are not busy

    Fun! But…

Everyone here is super friendly! There are two trails you can do with your dog here, both are not very long. the waterfall was really nice when we got there. I do think the admission price is a little steep for what you can do, but it comes with a “free” cider tasting and the cider was delicious!!
all that said, it never occurred to me that one of our dogs would be terrified by the zip lining noise, so that is something to keep in the back of your mind before you go

    Beautiful

We were so happy to find this gem. With only two trails that allow dogs in the National Park this was a great find. we just did the hike and bridges. we loved the scenery and we were away from the crowds. fully enjoyed our experience. Our dog Bo enjoyed the trails and bridges. there is something for everyone.

    Great Doggo Adventure!

We took our dog Roxy, lab/beagle mix, for the mountain trails and bridges. Everyone is very nice and the trail up to the Lost Mine Waterfall is a nice hike. Your dog does have to be leashed, naturally. There is also a longer flatter trail that follows the river around the property. There is also a free apple cider/hard cider tasting at the cider house. Dogs are also allowed inside. A great day out!

we had so much fun with our pup here! The staff were super friendly and accommodating! We enjoyed walking along several of their trails and our pup even got to dip her toes in the river!
