This park sucks. If you have medium to small dogs - look out. This park has a reputation for aggressive dogs because those are the dogs that are always there. We can debate about the responsibility of the dog owners and how important it is to pay attention (I agree), however the dogs that hang out here are mean and viscous. Period. No amount of awareness on the owners part is going to protect a smaller dog from the larger out of control dogs that frequent this park. Every time I've been here we've had an incident, either to my dog, or another dog was attacked. My friends all have had the same experience.
I actually picked my dog up in my arms, and held it as I tried to leave, while another dog was jumping on me and snarling trying to get at my dog. It actually bit my hand while chomping at my dog.in.my.arms. The owner, barely paying attention (funny how the poorly behaved dog owners are the ones not paying attention) asked if her dog "got me". She then proceeded to tell me how her dog was just playing. Hmmm, chomping at my dogs neck and biting my hand isn't quite the play we're looking for when going to the park. We went a handful of times only because it's so close. So thankful nothing more happened. Be safe friends. Why risk it?
