    Good For Trained Dogs

A great open park to enjoy some relaxing time in the sun with your pup. This park is supposed to be leashed but many owners let their dogs run freely - the only problem with this is many of these dogs seem untrained and will run through people’s picnics. If your dog is trained and doesn’t mind the distraction of other dogs then I’d recommend, otherwise you may want to check out a different park.

    Don’t bother

Don’t bother. This used to be a glorious harmonious shared space where dog owners and non-dog owners and people of various backgrounds cohabitated and enjoyed life without bothering each other. By convention dogs have been off leash for well over a decade. But thanks to some Assholes including and especially the ASPCA police, there’s no reason to bring your dog here. It’s just a ridiculous waste of space. It’s a. assholes including and especially the ASPCA police, there’s no reason to bring your dog here. It’s just a ridiculous waste of space. It’s a misdemeanor to have your dog off leash. How ridiculous. They are just taking advantage and illegally taxing dog owners. Money making scam $300 a pop

KEEP YOUR DOG ON IT'S LEASH.

As tempting as it is to let fido run - DON'T. Not only is it not legal here, but people have found all kinds of dangerous things in this grass. Just like you would not run barefoot in a field of lord knows what, neither should your dog. nails, glass, and other things are all over. Ask my neighbor who had to have his dog operated on after ingesting a rusty nail from this park.

KEEP EM ON THEIR LEASH AND KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN. THIS IS NOT A DOG PARK PRIMARILY, REMEMBER THEIR SAFETY TOO.

    Ignore the cranky dog owners

Ignore the people that say this should be taken off the list. The name of the website is bringside and this park is pet friendly and you can bring your dog. They also do their due diligence by stating it is friendly to leashed dogs. If someone decides to take their dog off the leash it is not the website or anyone else's fault.

    Great for on leash play

Park is great for on leash activity. Dogs are not allowed off leash. Beautiful views.

Ignore the curmudgeons on here shaking their fists. Bring your dog, keep him or her on leash, and pick up after the furry one.

Note to other reviewers: this list is for dog friendly places, not just off leash dog parks.

used to bad a nice park

See the brown grass in this picture? This used to be a great park where you could go barefoot and not worry about picking up a disease until the extremely rude 2% of dog owners felt they could take the law into their own hands and ruined this park. This happens everywhere and makes all dog owners unnecessarily suspect. If you own a dog and see a rude owner doing something wrong please confront him or her.

    Love this park!

We come to Kate Sessions twice a day with the pup. I love this park! The area is large with nice grass and trees. The people that come here are very friendly. There are always lots friendly dogs here. There's a playground area on the north side of the park for your kiddos. In the summer they have free concerts on Sundays. The view is spectacular.
Giving one less bone because it's not an "official" off-leash park and I'd like it to be, and they've banned alcohol last year. Can't enjoy the glass of wine at sunset anymore.

*Note to other reviews - this should stay on the list because it's very dog friendly. This isn't an off-leash list.
I have never once seen amimal control or police giving tickets...doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Please be a responsible owner; pay attention and pick up after your pet. :)
