Occoneechee State Park
Dog-friendly Occoneechee State Park occupies 2,700 acres of pristine land on Buggs Island in Clarksville, VA. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park, in campgrounds, and are invited to stay in rental cabins for an additional fee. Please clean up after your pets and make sure Fido is supervised at all times. Owners should carry proof of a rabies vaccination for their dogs. Occoneechee State Park offers visitors 14.7 miles of trails to hike or bike with your four-legged companion. If your best friend prefers open water, plan to kayak around John H. Kerr Reservoir.
