Lovely setting and lots of space for the pups. I moved to the area and have been looking for a safe off leash environment for my girl. CentervilIe /Dayton area does not offer many off leash places and I was excited there was one sort of near where I moved to...so I visited the park this evening and introduced Cass to the park. I figured take her in, normal curiosity from other dogs and expected some surrounding and butt sniffing etc...My brittany is not new to parks or socializing...but my girl was jumped on twice by one dog..growled at by another and the this would have continued if I stayed...why? Because their owners just stood around calling their dogs name from a distance instead of coming over and controlling their hounds. Unfortunately I don't think I will take her in there if more than a few dogs are present. Seems she is better trained and safer off leash outside of the dog park than inside it. 🐾

Owners do not control their dogs. My dog was attacked by two out of control dogs. We had to leave for his safety. Large dogs were in the small dog area.

Small dog area and large dog separation. Very nice, has seating and shade areas, my pup loves it!

I wasn’t certain what we would find heading out to Oak Grove, based on the mixed bag that the reviews were... I was pleasantly surprised. Every person that we have encountered there has been wonderful. I have never seen someone NOT pick up poop when I have been there. The dogs have all been super happy and playful. There are places to sit, shade, and two fenced in areas, one for dogs 35lbs and over, one for dogs 35lbs and under. There is fresh running water in both areas. Our dog always returns home happily exhausted. My only wish is that the agility equipment would be better maintained (some slats are missing on the climbing apparatus), and that there would be more things to climb on and jump off of for the dogs. After multiple visits, I can say that this is a dog park worth visiting. -Just be certain to check their website to confirm that they are open... they do close on occasion for things like standing water, etc.

the park is ok, two sides one for smaller one for larger dogs. problem is small dogs must not be able to read because they somehow wind up with the large dogs.......owners are very lax about cleaning up after their dogs. most just turn the dog lose and hang out at the tables or stare at their phones.

New to the area with a new puppy. The puppies & their owners were very warm & welcoming. Tobi had a fantastic day & we both look forward to a good day of fun and connecting again in the near future.

Use to be a good place to take your dog. My dog was attacked and he owners didn't try to control their dog, in fact they made fun of my dog for not taking up for herself.

This is a great dog park! It offers a large dog area and a separate small dog area, with a double gated entrance for extra safety. There is fresh drinking water available for the dogs, and waste disposal bags are provided. There are a few benches, and the park is well maintained. The grassy area can get muddy if there has been a lot of rain. The evening crowd of people are the best! With a few exceptions, they are friendly, they clean up after their dogs, and they keep an eye on their dogs. The evening crowd of people are sociable, just like their dogs. Come in the evening if you and your pet want to socialize (one of the main points of an off-leash dog park). If you don't want to socialize, the morning is the time to go, as there are few dogs at that time of day. Overall, a great park that you and your dog will enjoy!!

When the dog park first opened, it was maintained by users relatively well. Now I am sad to say people just don't seem to care any more. They don't watch their dogs to see if they need to clean up after them, they are too busy socializing themselves to see that their dog is not being very social to others, get "mouthy" if you try to correct them or their dog. It could be really great if there was a way for a "pet policeman" to be around. Best time to go is early in morning when there are very few dogs!!!
