Kwage Mesa Trail
Bring Fido for a walk on the pet-friendly Kwage Mesa Trail located within the Manhattan Project National Historical Park in Los Alamos, NM. This historic area is where the atomic bomb was first designed and created. The hike is a relatively flat, 4.3-mile trek that takes 2-4 hours to complete, ending at the top of North Mesa to give you views of the surrounding canyons and Sangre de Christo Mountains. Pups must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. Make sure to bring sunscreen, hats, and enough water for you and Fido.
