Fort Sill National Historic Landmark
Fort Sill National Historic Landmark, a pet-friendly destination in Oklahoma, was founded in 1869 and preserves a 19th-century frontier army post, featuring many well-preserved buildings. Notably, it housed Geronimo in his later years and served as an important base for the Buffalo Soldiers, renowned for their bravery. Today, it remains an active Army military base, home to the U.S. Field Artillery Center and School. Dogs are welcome to explore the grounds, featuring paved pathways and informational markers, but aren't allowed in the museum or any buildings.
