Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site
Bring Fido to the dog-friendly Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site in Gallitzin, PA. Leashed furry friends are welcome at this state park, which was the first railroad to cross the Allegheny Mountains and created a direct route between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Today, there are tons of hiking trails and sites to explore. Pets must be on a six-foot leash at all times, cleaned up after, and are not permitted in any buildings.
