Reformatory Branch Trail

The Reformatory Branch Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Concord! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Reformatory Branch Trail. Not very intereseting on the Concord MA side
We picked up the trail in Concord, and it was pretty much a narrow path that meandered behind a bunch of houses. Pretty uneventful and not very scenic. When we did get to the interesting part - a wildlife sanctuary, no dogs were allowed. Bummer! It was a nice walk, but next time we'll stick with Cat Rock Park.

Refuge Employee said NO DOGS
The trail is great and the dogs love it but a Wildlife Refuge employee kicked us out saying no dogs were allowed. This can't be true! It is a wonderful trail for reponsible dog owners.
