My baby girl is 5 months old and does great with all dogs of all sizes. Yesterday was my grandson's 2nd birthday party at Arroyo Burro Beach and we all brought our doggies to the party! What a fun time! In the picture, Moo is taking a break from playing in the sand and surf with new friends.

This is a great spot to let your dogs run free! Be careful of rocks on the shoreline as your dog enters and exits the water. During our visit the showers were not working to rinse off our pups.

Arroyo Burro Beach, also known as Hendry's Beach, is a dog-friendly, off-leash beach in Santa Barbara, CA, located below the Douglas Family Preserve. The area begins east of the slough and stretches almost to the steps at Mesa Lane. The fallen eucalyptus trees are considered the eastern boundary. From the parking lot at Arroyo Burro Beach Park, walk to the beach, turn left, and cross the slough - this will bring you to the legal off-leash area, which conveniently features self-serve dog wash stations for a fee.
