    Great area!

Well maintained dog park with some trails, a walking loop, lots of grass to run and some rocky ocean area for the dogs to splash in! All the dogs and people we met were very friendly! would go again!

    Dog Heaven

The BEST place to bring my pup, he can be off-leash, he swims, and gets to play and meet with so many other dogs.

    Huge Park in Hingham

This park is so big you could easily lose your dog if they don't have good recall. Had a meetup here and it was great, there's lots of green space for the dogs to play on and plenty of access to beach areas where the dogs can go in the water and play. As we were entering the park I ran into someone with another Boston and they told me that their dog had just been bitten by another dog. Definitely witnesses people not paying attention to their dogs here which is exactly how bite incidents happen. Overall it's a great park and we'll definitely be back. Just be cautious with your own dog and make sure they have really good recall. There aren't many places in town for dogs to go swimming so this is a great spot.

    Great place to swim!

This vast dog park is a great place to take your pup (and yourself!) for a swim. Note that it is not fully gated.

Lovely park, incredibly popular, beware that not all dogs here are well behaved

I'm pretty sure Stodder's Neck is not officially an off leash dog park, there's a sign at the front of the park that says dogs should be leashed, but this isn't enforced at all. It is 100% an off leash dog park in practice. Expect to encounter a large number of off leash dogs here on weekends. The parking lot is often overflowing on days with good weather.

I come here daily with my dog and the majority of the time it's a pleasant experience for both of us. There are ample opportunities for swimming, running, playing fetch and socializing with other dogs and their people. A water fountain for both dogs and people is available at the front. There's a stand with bags for dog waste and numerous trash cans throughout the park. Overall, the park is very clean considering the number of dogs who visit every day.

Be aware that there are a few bad apples who bring their aggressive dogs here and don't seem to care about the danger they're putting other people and dogs in. You'll find numerous reports of this via google reviews. My dog has been nearly attacked by the same aggressive dog twice (a light colored greyhound) and the owner of this dog takes absolutely no responsibility for their pet - let it right off the leash even as it was aggressively barking and trying to chase after my dog. It ran after us out of the park and into the parking lot while its female owner did nothing but give a few completely ineffective 'come' commands from a distance. These interactions could've been much worse if my dog was also off leash. I have seen bad behavior from other dogs as well.

This park is not regulated like Bare Cove is - you don't need to have tags or registration to get in and no one is patrolling the park, which is precisely why it's so popular. Aggressive dogs need to STAY ON LEASH or stay home for the safety of all! This won't deter me from continuing to visit Stodder's neck, but I have a reasonably large dog who could hold her own should an aggressive dog attack her. Anyone who visits with their well behaved dog off-leash should be aware of the risk before entering.

    Best dog park ever!

I am always on the look out for a great dog park. This has it all. It's enclosed so your dog can run free. There are trails and fields to run and play. It's surrounded on 3 sides by ocean so the views are gorgeous and your dog can cool off. They also have a fresh water fountain for humans AND dogs! Worth the trip for sure! Also, right down the road is Tony's seafood and they allow dogs on the deck. Makes for a great afternoon out!!

    Fido's favorite

This place brings so much joy to my dog's life! Great atmosphere, great people ... and your dog can be off leash without having to worry what he or she may get into. There is always a group (or sometimes groups) of dogs chasing each other, always balls flying, or someone barking. My dog usually runs in a circle for a while before he even starts playing with other dogs because hes so excited to be there. It's been great to watch my little guy so happy and free!

    GREAT DOG PARK

This park is great because it's in my neck of the woods. This park is a great place for dogs to go to because this place allows dogs to be dogs. I would suggest that would anticipate that dogs will approach you to say "Hello" or to "play" . This is after all one of the few "Off-leash" dog parks around. If you do not want other people's dogs to come up to you please consider going to a "on-leash" dog park. There's plenty of those around .

Other than that, I hope you all enjoy your time socializing with other pet owner's and pawtners!

    Great Day at the Park!

The park was about an hour drive for us. When we got to the park entrance, our "Cliffy" was in doggy playland. He had a ball running around with all the other pups, jumping in the ocean and running through the trails. We can't wait to visit again!

    Lucky dogs

I can't imagine a better dog park. We stopped here with our lab on the way to Cape Cod. The setting of huge, rolling, open spaces, plenty of shade trees, picnic tables and beaches to allow frolicking in the water made it an idyllic place to stop for a picnic and wear out our energetic buddy. The dogs in Hingham and Weymouth are very lucky. The only improvement I could suggest would be a more dog-secure entrance.

The name of the park is Stodder's Neck and it is located at 457 Lincoln St in Hingham, not Weymouth. It is a wonderful experience for all dogs, but water dogs truly love it. Be cautious near the gates as they do not lock. A skittish dog could be frightened and run right out onto route 3A. The leash laws are rarely enforced, but if an incident occurs, leash your dogs before DCR arrives.

    My pups love Stoddard's Neck

Wolfie & Rosie love going to Stoddard's Neck. There is tons of room to run and is a great place for both dogs and their people to get some exercise. I have only two cautions for potential visitors: 1) Dogs have been known to get out of the fence or hop the wall into the parking lot and even out onto busy 3A. Consider keeping the leash on until you are well inside the park and putting it back on well before you get to the exit. 2) On occasion, a local school sends it's running team there for practice. It's not the best combination ... packs of adolescent runners and packs of dogs. So, if you see teenaged runners, just be sure your pup doesn't collide with them or take of with them! Other than that, Stoddard's Neck is a dog's and a dog's mom's dream come true!

    Excellent Dog Park

It was an hour ride for us but will deff go back. I drove 12 hrs to get my daughter why wouldn't I go an hour for her to have fun. Was glad when we got there. It has everything a dog could want. Shade is important to my girl being a husky. Loves the water, although there was some glass on the beach just be carefull. Nice people. It would be perfect if it has porta john lol. But you would drive right by if you didn't know it was there. Please remember to pick up after your dog to keep this the nice place that it is.

    Excellent Dog Park

We just took our 2 dogs to this lovely dog park. Yes, it was low tide, but since early in the year, the fragrance mentioned in another review was totally under control. There are tidal pools, so I would imagine in the heat of summer at low tide, it could be a bit ripe. Other than that the benches, picnic tables, large open spaces, lots of trees, rolling hills, trails and the water make it a wonderful location to take our canine buddies for a fun trip. There were also several large metal water bowls, a water fountain for humans and for dogs, lots of trash cans and doggie scooper bags available. Definitely a great destination for a fun time for dog lovers.

This park is doggie heaven while still on earth! All dogs big & small, run and jump and chase balls, chase one another! Owners gab and watch their dog be a dog! An owner can take a walk just to be w/their dog. Plenty of areas for dogs to swim & fetch balls in Weymouth Back River. Young & "seniors" love this area..a dog never is out of sight.

    My experience at Stoddard Neck

I went to visit this park after I was told about it and it certainly is a hidden jewel. You could easily drive by it and not realize its there and that it is a dog park unless someone told you about it. When my husband and I got there, we loved how there was so much grass for the dogs to run around in and the scenery. We went all around walking and although its big, its all one big circle so you can't get lost which is nice and there's so many other dogs your dog can play with. I liked the surrounding water although I have to admit that it was pretty smelly around there, it smelled like sewer water which at that point I decided not to let my dog swim because I wasn't sure how safe and clean that water was. Everything else was great and I would come back for sure.

    Stoddard Neck Dog Park

This one mile loop is a hidden gem. Beginning with an amazing tree lined parking lot, iron gate to enter and picnic tables scattered around the grassy hillside in the center of the peninsula. Who knew this was all for dogs. I almost passed on by until I saw 10 dogs barreling down the hill in the distance as I drove by. As I entered the dog park, I found dirt walking paths all around the perimiter, and many private coves for the dogs to splash in. My dog found a perfect spot about 2 minutes in, and did not want to leave the spot to explore any more. I finally coaxed him, and he became more and more excited as we explored. I gave him a bath when we got home to scrub out the salt water, and he's been napping ever since (he only woke an hour later for treats and to let me finish drying him with the hair dryer before bedtime). What an AMAZING park. My dog has never snoozed so well, and I had a wonderful time - it's a beautiful place to escape to.

    Stoddard Neck, two thumbs up

I really like this dog park. It's worth the 45 minute drive for us to take our dogs here when we can make the trip. The place is big enough that the dogs have lots of room to run around as much space as they desire. Our dog loves to play in water which is an added bonus as well. I plan to visit this dog park as much as possible.
