Nice, easy trail along the creek - wide gravel, suitable for old dogs or wussy dogs who don't like underbrush touching them. Lots of creek access. My Dobe had a great time despite the rainy day we chose. More precise location, stolen from another site: The trailhead for the Laurel River Trail is at the intersection of Hwy 25/70 and Hwy 208. There is a gravel parking area about 100 yards south of the intersection and a brown Forest Service sign denoting the trail.

Laurel River Trail

Laurel River Trail in Marshall, NC, is pet friendly. It's a moderately easy, 7-mile hike in the Pisgah National Forest that will take about 3.5 hours to complete with Fido. This trail is one of the flattest around and offers plenty of shaded woodland and opportunities to cool off in the river. This is an ideal hike for any time of the year.
