Dog-Friendly Activities in Chambers, AZ

Leave the real world behind you as you set out on this scenic drive located inside Petrified Forest National Park near Chambers, AZ. Blue Mesa Road may only be a three mile loop, but you'll want to take your time with this one. There are places to pull over along the path and take in the scenery of petrified wood and beautiful blue hills. Before you hit the road, be sure to stop by the park's entrance booth and sign Fido up to be a Bark Ranger!

Experience some of the best scenery Arizona's badlands has to offer on the Historic Blue Forest Trail. This three mile hike in Petrified Forest National Park takes visitors along stunning views of colorful rocks, hoodoo formations, exposed stratification and more. Fido is welcome to join you on this hike, but dogs must be kept on a leash. Please note that this trail does not offer shade or water stations.

El Morro National Monument is a pet-friendly attraction in Ramah, NM. Famous for its 200-foot sandstone bluff, the bottom of the monument contains human inscriptions that are now protected. Dogs are welcome on the trails of these ruins in New Mexico, as long as they are leashed and all mess is cleaned up after them.
