Dog-Friendly Activities Near Northface, Davis, WV, US

Canaan Valley Resort State Park is a dog-friendly recreation area located in the Allegheny Mountains of Davis, WV. Fido is welcome in many outdoor areas throughout the park and resort, and you don't need to be resort guest to enjoy most of the amenities! Leashed dogs are welcome on the 18 miles of marked hiking and biking trails (many linked with the Monongahela National Forest), as well as at outdoor events. Picnics are welcome! Please note that pets aren't permitted in the food outlets, on the chair lift, or in the gift shop.

Bring Fido to enjoy the great outdoors at the dog-friendly Dolly Sods in Elkins, WV. This expansive wilderness is made up of wind-carved sandstone, red spruce, grassy meadows and sphagnum bogs. There are 47 miles of trails for you and your pup to explore together, many of which follow old railroad grades and logging roads. Be sure to dress appropriately as there are multiple stream crossings. Pets must stay leashed and under your control at all times.
