Bear Country USA Pet-friendly Bear Country USA in Rapid City, SD offers visitors a chance to view wildlife from the comfort of their own car. You and Fido will travel through several enclosures on the three-mile drive through the park and see black bears, elk, reindeer, cougars, bobcats, bighorn sheep, buffalo and more. Dogs are welcome to enjoy the drive-through park but are not allowed in Babyland, where the cubs live, and not allowed around the wildlife walkway area. Shepler's Ferry Shepler's Ferry is a pet-friendly business in Michigan. Two and four-legged passengers are welcome to join you on any ferry departures between Mackinac Island and the mainland. The ride takes between 15 to 25 minutes. Leashed dogs are permitted free of charge. See Details

Viking Golf Small, leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners for a game of mini-golf at pet-friendly Viking Golf on Fenwick Island, DE. While pets aren't permitted at the go-kart track or the waterpark on the property, they're welcome on the 19-hole miniature golf course. The course is themed after a battle between Vikings and a two-headed dragon in mythological Scandinavia. Dog owners can spot trolls and read up on facts about Viking history as they stroll the grounds. Unfortunately, large dogs aren't permitted on the course. See Details

Lake Eola Park Although technically not a dog park, the nearly 1-mile walking path around Lake Eola in downtown Orlando, Florida is very pet-friendly. There are several dog-related events that take place at Lake Eola Parkin Orlando, FL, each year, and almost any time of the day you'll find pet owners taking their four-legged friends for a walk around the lake. Poop bag dispensers are conveniently located on the lake path so that you can clean up after your pet. In addition to the lake path, visitors can also rent swan boats to enjoy with pets up to 5 lbs. There is also an amphitheater where concerts and other events are regularly held, as well as a couple of pet-friendly restaurants next to the lake, which will allow you to dine outdoors with your pooch. Smoky Mountain River Rat Tubing Smoky Mountain River Rat offers a dog-friendly river tubing adventure on the beautiful Little River in Townsend, TN. Tubing with Fido is offered at Outpost A only, and dogs under 50 lbs are accepted. The purchase of a Dog Pass includes both a dog tube and a tether rental to connect their tube to yours. Fido must be leashed, comfortable in the water, and should be able to swim with ease. Dogs over 50 lbs are discouraged due to the risk of popping tubes. ***Be sure to bring your own doggy life jackets as they're not provided.*** See Details
U.S. National Whitewater Center The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) is a dog-friendly non-profit on 400 acres of woodlands along the Catawba River in Charlotte, NC. Visitors can enjoy mountain biking, running trails, a climbing center, zip lines, high rope courses, and the multiple-channel, customized whitewater river. Leashed dogs are allowed on the grounds, outdoor restaurants, hiking trails, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards, but they cannot join you on the zip line, ropes courses or whitewater rafts. Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park Visit the site where St. Augustine began in 1565 with your pooch at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. With more than 15 dog-friendly waterfront acres to explore, you and your pup will find plenty of activities to enjoy. You can visit the planetarium, visit the Timucua Indian village, look out from the 600-foot observation deck, and make friends with the peacocks that roam the property.
