Dog Friendly Hiking Trails in the U.S. Virgin Islands

Leashed pets are welcome to join you on trails at Virgin Islands National Park on the island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Take a strenuous hike along the Reef Bay Trail past the largest and oldest trees on the island and Danish sugar plantation ruins, or for an easier stroll, explore the Cinnamon Bay Nature Loop. There are more than 20 trails to choose from. Dogs are not allowed on beaches within the park.

Bring your leashed pup on the 3.6-mile out-and-back Jack and Isaac Bay Trail near Solitude, Saint Croix. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 31 min to complete. This is a popular pet-friendly trail for hiking, running and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.
