Taste of West Portal

West Portal loves dogs and we couldn't have a street fair without including them. Whether you and your pooch stroll the avenue or visit the West Portal Playground it will be a fun day out in our special neighborhood. We have put together a number of dog related events for you to enjoy - we only ask that you bring along your well socialized dog(s) and be a responsible dog owner by cleaning up after your dog. Playground events will start at 10:00 and include Cutest Dog Contest, Best Costume, and Best Trick. Please visit http://www.tasteofwestportal.com/dog-events.html for event schedule information. Prize baskets are presented by Citipets. Beverly Ulbrich, Dog Behaviorist and Owner of The Pooch Coach! will be on-site at the West Portal Playground conducting and Ask The Trainer session from 11AM to 3PM. Other avenue events will include: dog adoptions from Niko rescue, pet caricatures and giveaways from Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital, free bows and bandannas from The Pawber Shop, Pet photographs and free treats from Citipets, and information from SF Dog, an non-profit organization that promotes responsible dog ownership. The West Portal Playground is located on Lenox Way & the other dog events are happening on West Portal Avenue (between Ulloa & 15th Avenue)
