Halloween Costume Contest Fundraiser -Online!

Lincoln County Dog Lovers are hosting an online Halloween Costume Contest to support our Emergency Pet Fund. Our Dog Lovers Walking Group noticed a need in our community. Several pet emergencies occurred this summer within our online group. We were able to give emotional support, but wanted to do more with financial support. We have begun to raise funds to help local pet owners pay unexpected costly veterinarian bills. Giving a dog the chance to stay with its family is important for both the pet and the owner, both physically and emotionally. Many studies have shown that having a pet lowers blood pressure, lowers cholesterol and leads to better psychological health (petmd.com). The weekly walks and events that our group attends are wonderful for socializing our dogs, and even better for us humans! It’s a safe place to discuss our furry family members and seek advice from other dog lovers. We also make plans for helping other dog lovers! Enter your dog in our costume contest in one of 4 categories: • Scariest costume • Cutest costume • Best Homemade Costume • Best Theme Costumes Entry fee is a donation of $2.00 per dog, per category. For more chances to win, get three separate entries for $5.00. Prizes include a large food bowl full of toys, treats, a LCDL bandana, gift certificates, poop bags, piddle pads, a photo frame and more! Donations are still coming in! Prizes and support have been donated by Allison and Lucy Keith of Lincoln County Dog Lovers, Animal House, Feed Corral and E-Bay Solutions.
