Dana Point Emergency Expo

The City of Dana Point is hosting its annual Emergency Preparedness Expo on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Dana Hills High School from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event will provide a fun and informative environment for individuals and families to learn how to prepare for a disaster. Everyone is welcome at the event, not just Dana Point residents! If your kids like checking out fire trucks, police cars and helicopters, they will love this event! The Orange County Fire Authority and the Orange County Sheriff's Department will be there with large displays of equipment. Specialty response units such as SWAT, HazMat, Bomb Squad, K9s and bloodhounds, boats and helicopters will be on display. Most of the equipment and vehicles on hand will be available for the public to sit in and explore. Local vendors and community preparedness groups will be at the event, as well as representatives of local, County, State and Federal agencies involved in disaster preparedness and response. Attendees will be able to ask questions, interact with these folks and become educated on a variety of safety topics.
