CPR's 2nd Annual Pugs and Pooches WinterBark

During these tough economic times, more and more pet owners are unable to care for their pets and continue to surrender these animals to local rescue organizations throughout the South Florida Region. Compassionate Pug Rescue [CPR], a local rescue specializing in Pug Rescue, will be holding the 2nd Annual Pugs & Pooches WinterBark 2010 event to continue their efforts in the community and raise the awareness of non-profit groups, such as CPR, available for those owners who are no longer financially capable to take care of their beloved pets. The event, held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the South County Regional Park at Sunset Cove in Boca Raton, Florida from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will have rescue groups and local vendors educating the public about rescue organizations, information on spay and neutering your pets, caring for your elderly pets, pet supplies and a raffle for various prizes. CPR and other South Florida Animal Rescue Organizations will have available animals and adoptions applications during the event for those interested in having a new addition to their families. “This event is not only to benefit the needy Pugs, but all of the homeless pets we have here in South Florida. We wanted to expand the idea of rescue, adoption and spay and neuter education to the South Florida Counties and what better way to do it then throw a giant party that the whole family and their dogs can come to, “ said Melissa Antenucci, Event Chair of WinterBark. “As we feel the pains and swells of the current economic situation on our pets we know that the other breed rescues are feeling it to, so we thought lets invite everyone!” The event will be held at the South County Regional Park at Sunset Cove [Near Canine Cove Dog Park] located at 12251 Glades Road, Boca Raton, FL. The park entrance is located 2.5 miles west of US 441 and North Side of Glades Road. Admission is free, and Parking is $5. All proceeds from the event will benefit CPR and their continued efforts to rescue Pugs within the South Florida area.
