DAWS 5th Annual Hound Hike

This family friendly event is fun for all 2, 3 and 4 legged participants. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Red Barn and the guided hike begins at 11:00 a.m. A Tarrywile guide will take everyone on a 1 mile easy hike along the White Trail around the pond. Upon returning we will have a Fastest Fetch contest in the pond. Any willing dog will have the opportunity to fetch as many tennis balls as possible in one minute. The dogs love this event and you can see the excitement of the competition in their eyes. But if your dog is not the competitive type, there is plenty of shady grass to sit back and watch the fun. Back at the Red Barn, games continue including Canine Musical Sit – a doggie version of Musical Chairs. This is followed by a Frosty Paw Eating contest. Prizes will be awarded for all dogs winning any of our contests. There will be several adoptable dogs in attendance enjoying the outing and looking for their forever homes. The registration fee is $10 per family. All money goes directly to DAWS. There will also be the opportunity to win great DAWS apparel - The Dog Program will be hosting a raffle where all proceeds will benefit our Dog Medical Fund. Join us for this outdoor adventure!
