Summer Gala for the Apopka K-9 Retirement fund

Greenbrier, in Apopka, is proud to host the Summer Gala for the Retirement Fund of the Apopka Police K-9s. The dinner/dance will benefit the Apopka Police Canines once they are retired from protecting and serving our community. Unfortunately, these devoted canines have no provisions set aside for their care once active duty is complete; their handlers/owners are left not only with their daily expenses but medical care as well. The Apopka K-9 Retirement Fund was established last year at the annual Paws for A Cause Festival with a $5000.00 donation made by Greenbrier. A 2012 Apopka Police Calendar was also published with the money of the sales adding to the Fund. With the Retirement Fund, our police dogs will be able to have provided for them food, veterinary care and other necessities, when needed, in order to live out their days in the comfort they deserve. We are proud of our contributions to the community and hope that you will share in your generosity for this endeavor. The Summer Gala is Friday evening June 22, 2012, from 6:00pm to 11:00, at the Apopka VFW. We hope you will join us for an enjoyable evening.
