Pups are welcome to enjoy roaming the 16 miles of hiking trails around the Arboretum several times a year on select days! Dogs must be leashed at all times and have updated vaccinations and registrations. For the safety of both your pet and the natural environment, dogs aren't permitted off the marked trails. Please clean up after your pet; bags are available at the Visitor Center.

This dog-friendly Halloween festival features spooky games, a costume parade, and trick-or-treating at participating stores. Families can meet characters for photos and autographs, enjoy performances, explore a Halloween game area, and visit local firefighters. Costumes are encouraged.

Furry friends can join you at this event, featuring artists, crafters, vendors, live music, food and a kids zone. You can also enjoy checking out a variety of cars, trucks and bikes with your leashed pup by your side!

Presented by Hendricks County Parks & Recreation, bring Fido to enjoy the beautiful season's colors at this annual event! Explore over 200 acres, 6.5 miles of trails and a prairie maze. There will also be yard games, vendors, crafts and more.

Bring your pup along to a fun run for a good cause! This 5K course will start and end at Metazoa Brewing Co and weaves through downtown Indianapolis. You and Fido are welcome to run, walk, or jog. After the race, enjoy a free craft beer from Metazoa Brewing Co, a seasonal swag item, live music, games and giveaways. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome inside the taproom, dog park, and outdoor patio.

This dog-friendly disco celebration features neon décor, themed music and lighting, special drinks, Yappy Hour deals and disco-inspired photo opportunities. Guests are encouraged to dress in neon, metallics or festive disco outfits while their pups enjoy a glowing foam party in the off-leash park. Tickets include access to the foam party, off-leash play and Pup Social’s amenities.

Come with your dogs and kids to trunk or treat at the businesses in Manor Shops and enjoy the decorated cars along the way! House of Paws and Plants will have a Halloween photo set up and treats for pups and kids.

This pet-friendly parade welcomes friendly animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, birds, and hamsters, as well as stuffed animals. Participants can dress up their pets or decorate a wagon and join the parade, followed by a pet party, contests, judging, and prizes. Dogs must remain leashed, and other live pets must be caged and transported in a wagon. Every pet must be accompanied by at least one adult handler. Check-in will begin at 1:30 PM and the parade will line up at 2:00 PM.

There will be candy giveaways, a children's costume contest and a family pumpkin carving contest. Please ensure Fido is kept on a leash and that you pick up after your pup.

This dog-friendly market brings together local small businesses offering pet treats, apparel, accessories, handmade goods, and pet services. Visitors can shop for their dogs and themselves, enjoy event-only specials and giveaways, and meet local makers. Activities include dog trick-or-treating, a costume contest, custom pet portraits, Halloween photos, canine massage, and a dog painting station. Admission includes a tote bag and contest entry.

This dog-friendly Halloween 5K features a scenic paved route and supports K9s for Veterans. Registration includes a short-sleeve T-shirt, finisher medal, doggie finisher medallion, chip-timed race bib, live results and finish-line treats for both humans and dogs.

Mondays from March through October are special days for dog lovers to explore the park’s beautiful gardens and grounds with their canine companions. Dogs must be friendly, well-socialized, and kept on a leash at all times, and owners should bring proof of up-to-date vaccinations. While pups are welcome outdoors, they aren't permitted inside buildings, and visitors are asked to clean up after their dogs using the provided sanitation stations. A $6 parking fee applies. Note that Monday holidays are excluded from Paws in the Park days.
