On Thursdays, bring Fido and the family to this free lunchtime concert series showcasing local and Michigan-based bands and performers each week! Attendees can expect live music, entertainment, local food trucks, yard games, and a dog-friendly atmosphere as long as pets are well-behaved, leashed, and cleaned up after. It's a perfect opportunity to enjoy music, food and outdoor fun during your lunch break.

Bring Fido for a 5K run or walk! Registered participants will receive a shirt and all finishers receive a medal. All race fees and donations help pay for the medical care for sick and injured dogs at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. Race day registration begins at 8 AM.

A pet-focused 5K race that takes place during the Dublin Pet Fair aims to raise awareness for animal welfare. The race will start and end at the Dublin Rec Center and will travel through the Indian Run Meadows Park with the turning point at the ML Red Trabue Nature Reserve. Rescue organizations and shelters will bring adoptable pets, and the event will feature pet races, a pet parade, and a veterinary wellness clinic.

Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome at this event that will double as the grand finale of the Ortonville Farmers Market and a celebration of National Dog Week! Enjoy a morning filled with pet-themed vendors, artisan treats, giveaways, demos from local trainers, and tasty surprises for your furry companion, all while exploring the farmers market’s fresh produce and handmade goods.

This annual event invites your Dachshund out to compete in the race! In addition, there will be other fun activities like a costume contest at 10 AM, a raffle and more. Parking will be available in the swimming pool parking lot.

Celebrate Polish heritage with your leashed pup at this community tradition featuring colorful floats, marching bands, polka music, clowns, community organizations, and plenty of family-friendly fun. The parade will be traveling east on Fulton Street, starting at the intersection of W. Fulton and Valley and ending at the intersection of W. Fulton and Lexington.

The Michigan Renaissance Festival transports visitors to a lively 16th-century village filled with entertainment, shopping and medieval fun. Leashed dogs who are at least 6 months old and vaccinated are welcome to attend. Dogs must register and have proof of Rabies vaccination; only one dog per owner is permitted.

Celebrate your furry friends at this annual Pet Parade and Blessing led by Father Chris Yaw of St. David's Episcopal Church. Well-behaved dogs, cats, and bunnies are welcome, with cats and bunnies required to remain in carriers and dogs on leashes. All animals must be up to date on vaccinations, and guests are encouraged to donate dog or cat food to support St. David's Food Pantry. Costumes are optional, and all participating pets receive a goody bag. Please note that registration is required.

Bring Fido to Michigan's largest annual celebration of furry and feathered friends! There will be lots of vendors and activities for you and your pup to enjoy. Dogs and cats over 6 months of age are welcome with proof of current vaccination status. All pets must be on a 48" non-retractable lead, and cats should be kept in a stroller or carrier. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online in advance. The event hours are Friday from 2 PM until 8 PM, Saturday from 10 AM until 7 PM, and on Sunday from 10 AM until 5 PM.

Dress up your dog in their Halloween finest and join this fun parade around the Village Green and down High Street. Registration is required. Prizes will be awarded in categories including Best Human/Dog Costume, Best Current Affairs Costume, Scariest Costume, Funniest Costume, and Best in Show. Please note: all dogs must be leashed, vaccinated, and friendly in crowds; no dogs under 3 months old; costumes should be kid-appropriate; and wagons or strollers are allowed as long as dogs wear a collar and leash.

Dress Fido up in his best costume and come out for a fun-filled contest. Registration begins at 11:30 AM for all weight categories. Pups under 15 lbs will compete from 12:00–1:00 PM, 15 lbs to 40 lbs will compete from 1 PM-2 PM, and 40 lbs and up will compete from 2 PM-3 PM. Space is limited to the first 40 dogs registered in each weight category. All winners will be chosen by the panel of judges at the end of each round.

Visitors can enjoy a festive walk through a whimsically decorated village filled with glowing jack-o-lanterns, animated displays, fog effects and friendly Halloween characters. With countless photo ops, seasonal music, and themed treats available throughout the stroll, it’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween magic with your leashed pup!

Marion Animal Care and Control will be offering a vaccine clinic once a quarter (currently scheduled for January 30th, April 24th, July 24th, and October 30th), including DAPP vaccines for dogs (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) and HCP vaccines for cats (Calicivirus, Herpesvirus, Panleukopenia). Low-cost services include $10 microchips, $5 dewormer and $8 flea treatment. Please note that rabies vaccines will not be available at this clinic. All animals must arrive on a leash or in a secure carrier.

On the final Sunday of their fall season, Deep Roots Produce allows dogs to visit the corn maze! Please note that all pups must be leashed and well behaved. Owners must pick up after their dogs. Dogs aren't permitted inside the market barn due to food safety regulations, so please plan accordingly.
