Dog Events in Canton, GA

Bring your pup to a dog fashion show and costume contest where judges will select the best looks and award prizes to the winners. Spectators can watch the runway show for free, meet adoptable dogs from Forsyth County Pet Adoption and the Humane Society of Forsyth County, and support local animal welfare organizations through event proceeds.

Runners and their pups will take on wide, easy-to-navigate trails featuring rolling, flowy terrain for the first three miles, followed by a one-mile climb back to the finish. Traditional leashes and canicross setups are welcome, but please note flexi-leashes or face collars are not permitted. Fido can join the 4-mile dog-friendly race, or watch from the sidelines as the regular 4-mile race begins 30 minutes later.

Celebrate Halloween with your four-legged BFF at Rescue Dog Games! This free, family-friendly dog festival features Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contests at noon to include: Funniest, Most Creative, Human-Dog Combo with prizes! There will also be a lure chase, trick or treating, photo opportunities, silly-or-not-so-silly dog tricks, dog and kids art activities, vendors, pet rescues and adoptable dogs.

Bring Fido and a lawn chair or blanket for some live music from local musicians! The venue is open container, so feel free to grab a beverage from a nearby restaurant and bring it outside to enjoy in the Village Green. Outside food and beverages aren't permitted.
