Dog Events in Cottleville, MO

Dogs are welcome every weekend at the St. Louis Renaissance Festival, but this special weekend is themed just for them! Enjoy costume contests, dog races, trick competitions, keg tosses, stein holding and live entertainment. Please visit their website for rules, deals and discounts. Pets are free for this two-day event.

This family-friendly event features exciting Dachshund races, tasty food, kids’ activities, and local vendor booths with unique finds. Only Dachshunds participating in the Wiener Takes All race can attend the event. A rabies vaccination certificate is required to participate. Please note that dogs are only permitted at the festival on Sunday from 11 AM-5 PM.

Dress up Fido and parade down historic Second Street in style! Then, head over to the Vendor Fair from 10:30 AM-12 PM and check out local pet-related shops and information booths. The parade travels through the Historic Frenchtown Neighborhood and ends at Clark Street and Main Street.

Lace up and leash up for this annual event that offers both a competitive chip-timed 5K (with separate divisions for humans and dog-human teams) and a more relaxed 1-mile fun run/walk. Participants are encouraged to don purple attire (for both humans and pups!) in support of the Purple Leash Project, a collaboration between Purina and RedRover helping domestic violence shelters become pet friendly.

Vaccinated and well-behaved pups are invited to support local rescue efforts and celebrate these amazing dogs. Everyone is welcome to explore adoptable dogs, pet-centric vendors, activities, raffles, treats and much more.

Step back in time at the Renaissance Festival with your well-behaved pup! Enjoy jousting, entertainment, artisan markets and tasty fare with your pooch by your side. Before arriving, submit the dog registration form and bring copies with you to the event. Please note that pets must be at least 6 months old and only one pet is allowed per handler. The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM.
