Dog Events in Hilton Head Island, SC

Leashed dogs are welcome as spectators at this beloved annual event featuring the creations of acclaimed lantern artist Chantelle Rytter, along with hundreds of colorful lanterns crafted by residents, visitors, school groups, and local organizations. The parade starts at Alder Lane Beach Access, travels north along the Coligny Beach coastline, and concludes with a festival at Lowcountry Celebration Park.

Leashed dogs can join the festive celebration, as the parade kicks off at 4th Street and ends at Tybrisa Street. Enjoy creatively decorated floats, thousands of lights, marching bands, dancers and more. Canned food donations will be collected along the route for the Rising Tyde Food Pantry.

Enjoy a full day of shopping from local vendors with unique gifts, handmade goods, and delicious holiday treats. Experience live entertainment, festive performances, and joyful surprises throughout the day. Register Fido for the Pet Parade & Costume Contest that begins at 1:30 PM!

Celebrate the holiday season with Fido and festive costumes and a special parade! Pets can dress as Santa, reindeer, elves, or other creative characters while participants enjoy seasonal fun and support a local cause. The event is part of the Tybee Island Holiday Market! Register in advance or in person on the day of the event by 12:45 PM.

Bring your pups for a festive post-Christmas celebration as they strut their stuff in a holiday parade led by Santa! All breeds and sizes are welcome to join the fun, so dress your dogs in their best holiday outfits and spread the cheer. Guests can take photos with Santa and enjoy dog games following the parade near the Liberty Oak Stage.

Take a walk with Fido along the harbour and take in the dazzling seasonal displays, including the centerpiece, a towering Christmas tree! While enjoying the festivities, you can also make a difference by supporting the Deep Well Project. Just drop off canned goods or a new, unwrapped child’s toy in the well by the Liberty Oak stage.
