Dog Events in Metuchen, NJ

Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual event featuring rescue organizations, craft vendors, pet blessings and more. There will be music, food vendors and a Pet Parade (costume optional) at 2:30 PM with prizes in several categories. All are welcome, with or without a pet. The event will take place rain or shine.

Explore a pet- and wellness-focused expo with your leashed pup, featuring approximately 140 vendor, rescue, and adoption booths. Guests can shop for pet products, treats, nutrition, training, grooming, and wellness services while meeting rescue organizations and adoptable pets. The event also includes wellness businesses, natural and organic products, fitness and beauty services, live speakers and demonstrations, pet activities, and an obstacle course.

Put your pup in their best costume and join the fun to see who takes the top prize! This festive Halloween hike offers plenty of treats and no tricks as you wander through the forest with your four-legged friend. All dogs must remain leashed, and dog lovers without pups are more than welcome to join in the spooky stroll.

This dog-friendly charity event features two guided hike opportunities, local vendors, demonstrations and plenty of activities for dogs and their families. A $20 donation is requested to participate in the dog hike, while general admission is a $5 donation. All proceeds benefit People for Animals in Hillside, New Jersey.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM.
