Dog Events in North Shore, CA

Leashed dogs, strollers and walkers are welcome on this 2-mile course. Run, walk or just go at your own pace. You'll have the option to be sprayed with four colorful paints. At the end of the course, all participants will gather for raffle prize giveaways at a celebratory toss of brightly colored festival powders. Those participating with strollers or leashed pets are encouraged to start towards the back of their group. Register in advance; there will be no on site registration.

Proceeds help provide life-changing meals to feed hungry neighbors in need through Father Joe's Villages' Food Services Program. Registration includes race admission, a race shirt, a bib number and a participation medal. Treats and dog bandannas are available for sale on site. Participants with pups are asked to register for the Fun Runner race, in order to ensure the safety of timed runners.

Enjoy a Thanksgiving community walk with Fido to the summit of Mt. Helix and take in breathtaking views along the way. The one-mile loop welcomes all ages and dogs. After the walk, enjoy complimentary coffee and donuts at the top. Parking and the starting point are at the Fire Station parking lot on Vivera Drive.

There will be a curated holiday market, live music, delicious food, fun activities for the kids, a tree lighting ceremony and, of course, photos with Santa! The holiday market will feature a selection of hand-crafted gifts, perfect for getting ahead on your holiday shopping.

You and your dog can join a fun run and walk on the beach and choose a 3K or 5K distance. The event benefits two San Diego nonprofits. The run goes on rain or shine, but the course or schedule may be adjusted for safety if necessary.

Browse unique gifts from talented San Diego artists and enjoy top plant-based food from across SoCal. Don’t miss the A Way Home For Dogs booth to meet adoptable pups and learn how you can help. The event is rain or shine.

The Arthritis Foundation’s race is the original festive race for charity with your pup. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume. Bring a team of friends, family, and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 7 AM and the race begins at 8 AM.

Step back in time at a medieval festival featuring jousting, living history demonstrations, an artisan marketplace, and a St. Nicholas Day Feast. Dogs are welcome on leashes no longer than six feet. The festival takes place on weekends, rain or shine. Feast tickets and parking cost extra.

Please note that dogs aren't permitted inside Mission Inn, but are welcome in outdoor areas of the festival throughout the surrounding area.

Fido is invited along on this drive-through holiday lights experience featuring favorite scenes and characters, and using the latest LED technology and digital animations. You'll get to see everything from the comfort of your car as you wind along the path. Dogs must remain in the car at all times and aren't permitted in Jolly Holiday Village (and guests cannot leave their pup unattended).
