Pet Friendly Henrico Humane Society's Annual Pet Expo
Henrico Humane Society's Annual Pet Expo Bring Fido to this indoor event to enjoy a day of fun and excitement! A range of activities and exhibitors will be available for the whole family to explore. There will also be a chance to meet adoptable dogs eagerly awaiting a new family. All proceeds from the Pet Expo help Henrico Humane Society rescue dogs and cats from across Central Virginia and place them in loving, forever homes. See Details
Pet Friendly Outdoor Fest Run
Outdoor Fest Run Participants can choose between the Canicross 5k or the Dog-Friendly 5k for a fun and active day! The Canicross 5k is a trail run that takes runners and their dogs through grass, dirt and roots. It requires a non-restrictive dog harness, a waist belt for the runner and a bungee line. The Dog-Friendly 5k, which is mostly paved, is open to all runners and walkers. Please note that there is a no-greet policy for dogs during the event. After the race, participants can enjoy food trucks, entertainment and live demos. See Details
Easter Begg Hunt Let Fido sniff out treat-filled Easter eggs hidden throughout the event location. This is an event for pups and their parents only. Small children are permitted, but not recommended. Dogs must be friendly and leashed, and have current vaccinations. See Details
5k Walk ‘n Roll Bring Fido to this non-competitive, race-like event designed to provide an inclusive 5k experience for all residents. Many volunteer opportunities include cheerleaders, medal presenters and walking buddies. The greatest need is for walking buddies to assist resident athletes along the course. See Details
Ashland Strawberry Faire This annual, family-oriented event promotes the community, celebrates the strawberry harvest, and raises funds for Hanover County Public School scholarships and non-profit groups. There will be over 300 vendors, including arts & crafts, non-profit organizations, food vendors, and Hanover County businesses. For pups, there will be a BARKing Lot and Pet Pageant at noon held at the “Hanover in Action” Pavilion (W. Patrick Street). Sign-up between 11:30 – 11:55 AM. See Details
