Dog Events in Strathroy, ON

Leashed dogs are welcome at this vibrant community festival celebrating local creativity, culture and connection. The multi‑day event features artisan markets, unique performances, live music, food trucks, street entertainment, and interactive experiences designed to showcase the best of Amherstburg’s artistic and steampunk cultural scene.

Bring Fido out to the ballgame! A portion of the proceeds from dog tickets will go to the Michigan Humane Society. Maximum of one dog per paid adult ticket. All dogs must wear an identification tag to the game and be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older. No day-of-game sales. All participants must provide a copy of all up-to-date dog vaccinations upon check in (Rabies and DDHPP required). 2026 dates include April 21, May 5, August 25, and September 8 & 21.

Leashed dogs are welcome in outdoor areas of this annual event. Enjoy Monte Carlo-style street games along Delaware Avenue, providing entertainment for all ages.

Celebrate all things dogs at this two-day community festival featuring local pet-focused vendors, fun competitions, special guests, and a ceremonial keg tapping. Enjoy a day of tail-wagging activities, shopping, and community fun. Dogs must remain on a non-retractable leash that's no longer than 6' at all times.

Leashed dogs are welcome to this annual Bavarian celebration, featuring authentic German food like bratwurst, sauerbraten, spaetzle, and schnitzel, alongside cold German beers and festive polka music. The event will be held on Saturday from 11 AM until 7 PM, and on Sunday from 12 PM until 5 PM.

The Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run is the original festive race for charity. It’s where you can strut your stuff in your favorite holiday costume and feel good about doing good. Bring a team of friends, family and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your pup is kept on a leash at all times. Check-in starts at 8 AM and the race begins at 9 AM.
