Celebrate the traditions of the Oktoberfest in the heart of Music City spanning 10 city blocks! There will be delicious German foods from dozens of restaurants and vendors, world-class beer from local breweries, tons of events, arts and crafts vendors, stages of live German music, the Annual Pup Parade on Saturday, and the Dachshund Derby on Sunday. All animals must comply with city leash laws. Please be aware that almost 150,000 people attend this event, so the streets will be very crowded and busy.

Lace up your sneakers and grab Fido's leash while wearing your favorite holiday attire to jingle all the way to a cure. Bring a team of friends, family and co-workers to run or walk. Please ensure your pup is kept on a leash. Check-in starts at 8:00 AM and the race begins at 9:15 AM.

Enjoy kids’ crafts, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus (pet photos available during a special session), live music and dance, carolers, food trucks, and artisan vendor booths offering unique gifts. Please note that dogs aren't permitted in any buildings, including The Hermitage Mansion or Andrew Jackson Center. Please bring bags to dispose of pet waste.

Each January 8th, Hermitage welcomes visitors free of charge to honor the Battle of New Orleans, the decisive 1815 victory that elevated Andrew Jackson to national fame. The day includes a wreath-laying ceremony at Jackson’s tomb, a keynote address, and access to the estate’s 1,120 acres of history. Leashed dogs are welcome to roam the historic grounds. Dogs aren't permitted in any buildings, including The Hermitage Mansion or Andrew Jackson Center. Please bring bags to dispose of waste.
